The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality (CBHSQ) has released a new short report on suicidality and death by suicide among middle-aged adults in the United States. Based on data from the annual National Survey on Drug Use and Health and the National Vital Statistics System, the report analyzes suicide attempt and death rates among adults ages 45 to 64 from 2009 to 2014.
