The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released the Suicide Prevention Resource for Action (Suicide Prevention Resource)—an updated, expanded, and renamed version of Preventing Suicide: A Technical Package of Policy, Programs, and Practices. The Suicide Prevention Resource includes three components that states and communities can use to inform their suicide prevention efforts: (1) strategies; (2) approaches; and (3) policies, programs, and practices.
As a complement to this new resource, learn about guiding principles for community-based suicide prevention, use key elements to implement your efforts, and apply to SPRC’s new Best Practices Registry.
