Timeliness of Death Certificate Data for Suicides

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released a report on the timeliness of death certificate data for suicides. It evaluates the lag time between the week a suicide occurred and the week when information on the death certificate became available for the National Center for Health Statistics mortality surveillance program.
