The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released a report on violence victimization, substance use, suicide risk, and sexual behaviors among transgender high school students. The report used 2017 data from 10 states and 9 urban school districts. It found that 34.6 percent of transgender respondents attempted suicide in the past 12 months.
